The 1000 islands music fest was great! It was on friday.. sorry im a bit late, i'm camping right now and the place i'm at only allows 15mins of internet every hour.
I got tons of pictures and a few videos! I'll try to upload some of the pictures to here.. just not right now because i'm trying to type this all out before my 15 mins is up. lol
So here's a little recap of the show if you'd like to read it

:
It was held in a big farmer's field. We left at 1:30pm because the 1st bands was on at 2:45 and i wanted to get a good spot at the stage because they were expecting alot of people to be there. When I got there we went straight to the main stage, there were about 15 people already there. You weren't allowed to bring chairs or anything which sucked so we were stuck standing for the next 10 hours in the sun. At first we stood in the shade back from the stage and talked to a security guard for a bit. Then when the first band came on so we moved up to the stage.
Here's the order of the bands that were on:
- Arietta
- Walk of the Earth
- The Latency
- Stereos
- Plain White T's
- The New Cities
- Faber Drive
- Simple Plan
Arietta was the first band on at 2:45. They were from Toronto i think.. I'd never heard of them before though. They were ok but they have a long way to go

Walk of the Earth was the next band on at 3:30. Again i had never heard of them before.. They were from Burlington. They were unique I guess. They said the play reggae-rock or something like that. Alot of guitar tricks and stuff. Pretty cool.
The Latency was the next band on at 4:30. I'd heard of them before and heard some of their songs on the radio too. They're from B.C. I think. They were good. Check them out if you haven't yet!

After their show, while we were waiting for the next band to set up the singer and the bassist were walking around signing autographs and taking pictures so i went over and got an autograph and a picture, they were really nice.

Stereos were the next band on at 5:30. I forget where they're from

They were ok I guess.. alot of their songs sound the same though. And they all need to pull up their pants and get belts! lol. After their show they were signing autographs and taking pictures too. But by the time I got there they were gone.

Plain White T's were the next band on at 6:30. They were really good.

They were also the only non-Canadian band there that night, they are from Chicago i think

The singer kept looking at me. I almost caught a guitar pick but another girl and me both grabbed it at the same time and she got it

The New Cities were the next band on at 7:45. They're from Montreal. I saw them back in March when they opened for Simple Plan.

There still wasn't very many people there. But they were really good too!

Near the end of the concert, my mom came back from the washrooms and told me that Seb from Simple Plan was watching them perform at the back of the crowd on a golf cart. So I went over and was standing about 20ft away from him.. he kept looking over. But i was too shy to go up to him

so then he drove away in my direction and when he drove by he was like only 2ft away from me!! he smiled and waved and i just kind of stood there.

I also saw David from Simple Plan on a golf cart too but he didn't stop to watch the band.
Faber Drive was the next band on at 8:30. They're from B.C. I think

They were really good too. By that time I was one person away from the front. During Faber Drive these two girls pushed infront of me. They had only been there since The New Cities. Other people around me got mad at them and told them to go back to their spot.. and eventually they did. And the singer threw a guitar pick into the crowd and it landed on my foot! but another girl bent down and grabbed it before I could

Once faber drive was done I went over to the Merch Table to buy a shirt while waiting for Simple Plan to come on and when I got to the Merch Table Faber Drive was doing autographs so I got their autograph too! But I didnt get a picture with them because there wasn't enough time.. I did get a picture of them signing though!

Simple Plan was the last band on at 9:30. They're from Montreal.

That was my 3rd time seeing them

by that time my feet were killing from standing all day. But Simple Plan was awesome!! The lady in front of me, her daughters left their spot to go and sit down somewhere and she said I could come up to where they were which was at the barrier. Then during 'I'm Just A Kid' David ran up and stood on the barrier right beside me! I had to move so he could jump on! I got a video of it which I will upload to youtube as soon as I can get to a place where the internet usage isn't limited to 15mins an hour! I almost caught Chuck's drumstick but me and this girl grabbed it at the same time and she got it

The only sad part was that right after Simple Plan was done my mom wanted to leave because her feet where hurting but I wanted to stay because I know that after almost every show Simple Plan comes out to sign autographs and get pictures with fans.. but my mom didn't want to wait so we had to leave. So I didn't get to meet Simple Plan

If you read that all then you're awesome!
Please comment too! that took me forever to type out
